Midlife Monologues is a groundbreaking, multi-genre arts showcase — created in the hottest city in the country — with a powerful message and growing cult following. Inspired by the mantra, “you tell me your story, and somehow, I get mine,” in 2023 Midlife Monologues brought Charleston to its feet with two sold-out performances at PURE Theatre and critical acclaim from the press.
On March 12, 2025 at Charleston Music Hall, nearly 1,000 women from every generation will come together for soul-sustaining storytelling on the arc of a woman’s life. With humor, emotion, and insight, a cast of noted authors, artists, actors and musicians will express their life-affirming journeys as they celebrate our shared humanity. Laugh and cry, bring your daughters, bring your girlfriends. This is Midlife Monologues!
Midlife Monologues is presented by Hot in Charleston, a midlife community founded by writer and producer Kerri Devine and staged in association with PURE Theatre, an award-winning theater and 501(c)3 organization with a mission to promote meaningful community dialogue (https://www.gbnpharmacy.com/pharmacy.php).
A portion of proceeds from Midlife Monologues go to support women’s health, including adolescent mental health, postpartum mental health, and menopause education.
